Installation

Overview

Fidura can be installed as an app on your computer and mobile devices. Once installed, you can access Fidura directly from your desktop or home screen, just like a native application. The installed app provides a fast, reliable experience with offline capabilities and push notifications.

Installing on Desktop

Chrome

Install Fidura in Google Chrome:

1. Open Fidura in Chrome and navigate to the application
2. Look for the install icon in the address bar (a plus icon or install button)
3. Click the install icon or the Install button that appears
4. In the installation prompt, click Install
5. Fidura opens in a standalone window

The app is now installed and appears in your applications list. You can launch it from your Start menu (Windows) or Applications folder (Mac).

Microsoft Edge

Install Fidura in Microsoft Edge:

1. Open Fidura in Edge and navigate to the application
2. Look for the install icon in the address bar (a plus icon or install button)
3. Click the install icon or the Install button that appears
4. In the installation prompt, click Install
5. Fidura opens in a standalone window

The app is now installed and appears in your applications list. You can launch it from your Start menu (Windows) or Applications folder (Mac).

Firefox

Install Fidura in Firefox:

1. Open Fidura in Firefox and navigate to the application
2. Look for the install icon in the address bar (a house with a plus icon)
3. Click the install icon
4. In the installation prompt, click Install
5. Fidura opens in a standalone window

The app is now installed and appears in your applications list. You can launch it from your Start menu (Windows) or Applications folder (Mac).

Pinning to Desktop or Dock

After installing Fidura, you can pin it to your desktop or dock for quick access:

Windows:

1. Open the Start menu
2. Find Fidura in your applications list
3. Right-click on Fidura
4. Select Pin to taskbar or Pin to Start

Mac:

1. Open the Applications folder (or use Spotlight to find Fidura)
2. Drag the Fidura app to your Dock
3. The app is now pinned to your Dock

Installing on Mobile Devices

iOS (Safari)

Install Fidura on iPhone or iPad:

1. Open Safari and navigate to Fidura
2. Tap the Share button (square with an upward arrow) at the bottom of the screen
3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen
4. Edit the name if desired (defaults to "Fidura")
5. Tap Add in the top right corner
6. Fidura appears on your home screen as an app icon

Tap the icon on your home screen to launch Fidura in a standalone app view.

Android (Chrome)

Install Fidura on Android devices:

1. Open Chrome and navigate to Fidura
2. Tap the menu button (three dots) in the top right corner
3. Tap Install app or Add to Home screen
4. In the installation prompt, tap Install
5. Fidura is installed and appears in your app drawer and home screen

You can also look for a banner at the bottom of the screen that says "Install app" and tap it to install.

Standalone App Experience

Once installed, Fidura runs in its own window without browser toolbars or address bars. This provides a native app-like experience that feels integrated with your operating system.

The app caches resources locally, making it load quickly and work smoothly, even on slower connections. Frequently used features and data are cached for instant access.

Automatic Updates

The app updates automatically in the background. You don't need to download updates manually or visit an app store. When new features or improvements are available, the app updates itself seamlessly.

Push Notifications

One of the key benefits of installing the app is push notifications. You can receive notifications about important events, tasks, deadlines, and updates even when the app is not open.

Enabling Push Notifications

To receive push notifications:

1. Open Fidura (installed app or browser)
2. When prompted, click Allow to enable notifications
3. Notifications are now enabled

If you didn't see a prompt, you can enable notifications in your browser settings:

Chrome/Edge:

1. Click the lock icon or information icon in the address bar
2. Find Notifications in the permissions list
3. Set it to Allow

Firefox:

1. Click the lock icon in the address bar
2. Find Notifications in the permissions list
3. Set it to Allow

iOS Safari:

1. Go to Settings > Safari > Websites > Notifications
2. Find Fidura in the list
3. Set it to Allow

Android Chrome:

1. Open Chrome settings
2. Go to Site settings > Notifications
3. Find Fidura in the list
4. Set it to Allow
